Resource Abstract

This progress report presents an overview of Bakken Production Optimization Program (BPOP) activities from July through September 2020. Four webinars were held to share findings from project activities. Strontium isotope fingerprinting applications appear promising in Bakken formation fluids. Well completion optimization data analysis continued with the creation of an interactive cluster calculator to divide the Bakken play into several subareas or clusters. History-matching a dynamic simulation model of the East Nesson area being considered by Liberty Resources for an enhanced oil recovery (EOR) pilot was completed. An experimental design plan for laboratory-based testing of rocks and fluids to support design of an EOR pilot being considered by Oasis Petroleum Inc. was developed.
