Resource Abstract

This document presents high-level information regarding the purpose and topics of research for the Bakken Production Optimization Program (BPOP). BPOP is a partnership between the State of North Dakota through the North Dakota Industrial Commission Oil & Gas Research Program (NDIC OGRP) and industry with the mission of increasing the productivity of the Bakken petroleum system while reducing the impact to the environment. The topics researched each year of the program are partner-driven and designed to address the priorities of our BPOP partners. Partnership is available at various tiers of annual subscription based on number of wells operated. Producing partners of various sizes have the ability to propose topics of research and steer the program. All partners, including service companies and nonproducers, have the ability to participate in program-facilitated technical/policy forums and access products on the program Web page. While all products will be made available to the public at the end of the project period of performance, products are first available only to partners for 18 months. For questions about how to become a BPOP partner and obtain full access to BPOP products, please contact John Harju at jharju@undeerc.org or Charlie Gorecki at cgorecki@undeerc.org.
