BPOP Analytics Well Completion & Production Dashboard

Resource Abstract

The BPOP is a research program with the goal of simultaneously improving Bakken petroleum system (BPS) oil recovery while reducing its environmental footprint. Since 2016, through BPOP, the EERC has been evaluating BPS oil production and well completion using statistical and machine learning methods. The interactive Well Completion & Production dashboard, which can be accessed at the link below, is an analytical tool that integrates developed workflows to understand companies’ drilling activities, analyze well production and completion information, optimize completions, and search well locations using public data. The tool will be regularly updated including data underlying calculations and additional functionality that will be built based on the results of BPOP technical studies.
