Resource Abstract

This slide deck was presented to BPOP Members on October 22, 2024, as part of the EERC's ongoing BPOP webinar series. The petrophysical evaluation focused on data-rich wells across the Bakken and Three Forks Formations, using spectroscopy logs, nuclear magnetic resonance logs, and x-ray fluorescence/x-ray diffraction analyses. Interpretations were driven by results and included insights into lithology, water saturation, kerogen volumes, permeability, and reservoir quality. The next petrophysical tasks involved applying insights from data-rich wells to those with a more common log data suite, intended to serve as training datasets for cluster analysis or machine learning applications.
